Bernstein-Rein Summer Internship Program Details

The Bernstein-Rein Summer Internship Program is a good bet for experience in exactly what you want to do. Our program targets students majoring in advertising or related fields who have completed their junior year and have at least one or two semesters remaining in their college education.

So why Bernstein-Rein? We’re a full-service agency with integrated resources, headquartered in Kansas City, MO. In 44 years, we have grown to be the 37th largest agency in the U.S., serving some of the nation’s leading brands and retailers. Our services include account management, creative, database, direct, interactive, media, research, specialized business-to-business, strategic planning and yellow pages. In short, we know what we’re talking about.

If you’re looking for experience on how to make a great cup of coffee, then this probably isn’t for you. What we offer is hands-on experience and the skills necessary to prepare you for entrance into the advertising industry. The way we see it, if you’re going to spend your summer inside an office, you might as well learn something.

This summer, we will choose seven students to participate in the internship program in the following departments:

  • Account Management (2)
  • Creative (2)
  • Media (2)
  • BR Direct/Database (1)

The internship program begins on Monday, June 2nd and will continue until Friday, August 1st. This is a paid internship. Repeating, this is a paid internship. Our interns make $10.00/hour and work 8:30- 5:00 Monday-Friday. As one of our interns, you work in your designated department on specific projects and participate in group activities with the other interns. At the end of the summer, you present the results of a project you worked on and discuss how you developed your skill set to Bob Bernstein, Steve Bernstein and the rest of the Executive Committee.
